Join us as we kick off the official Art Bar series at Casual Animal! Local artist instructors lead attendees through creative mediums allowing for skill development, but also free expression by the individual.
Consider Art Bar a pop-in craft night or artist tutorial experience.
Guests may stay the whole 4-hours, or muse for a bit before leaving with their creations after only a few minutes. The point is to offer a welcoming space for people looking to escape through creativity, the development of new skills, and finding community. Each class or project may incur a fee to ensure the artist instructors are reimbursed for materials and their expertise and time.
SEPTEMBER 23* - CUSTOM STAMPS
Design, carve, and ink handmade stamps. (*NOTE: There is a private event in the brewery on the same day. Art Bar will be held at the long table in the Original Taproom.). Instructor: Katie Amos
Create your own custom stamps using simple carving techniques and small rubber erasers. In this hands-on workshop, you can design your own imagery or choose from a variety of provided templates to get started. You’ll learn how to safely carve, ink, and print your design, transforming a small surface into a tool for endless creativity.
We’ll have paper available so you can experiment with patterns, layering, and repeat prints during class. Each participant will leave with their own handmade stamp, ready to keep using at home; perfect for paper projects, gift wrap, and even stamping on fabric.
COST PER PROJECT $3.50
All class costs are added to the participant’s bar tab (no tax) and paid out in full to the artist instructor. Costs cover materials and instruction provided by the artist.

Katie is a multidisciplinary artist and educator, whose work is rooted primarily in painting but extends across a wide range of creative practices. From fiber arts and wood burning to culinary exploration, Katie embraces art in all its forms, believing that creativity is not limited to any single medium. With over 10 years of experience teaching children’s art classes, Katie is passionate about making art accessible and empowering for everyone. Their teaching approach is grounded in the Teaching for Artistic Behavior (T.A.B.) philosophy, which encourages individual expression, choice, and creative confidence. Whether offering structure for beginners or freedom for more comfortable artists, Katie strives to create an inclusive, supportive environment where participants feel inspired to explore and create at their own pace.
