Join us as we kick off the official Art Bar series at Casual Animal! Local artist instructors lead attendees through creative mediums allowing for skill development, but also free expression by the individual.
Consider Art Bar a pop-in craft night or artist tutorial experience.
Guests may stay the whole 4-hours, or muse for a bit before leaving with their creations after only a few minutes. The point is to offer a welcoming space for people looking to escape through creativity, the development of new skills, and finding community. Each class or project may incur a fee to ensure the artist instructors are reimbursed for materials and their expertise and time.
NOVEMBER 11 - CREATIVE COASTER CREATIONS
Design your own custom coasters using one of two creative approaches, or try both if time allows. You can explore collage by layering paper, magazine images, and patterns to create bold, personal designs, or experiment with alcohol inks to create fluid, abstract color effects.
Collage artists will have access to a variety of materials and will seal their coasters at the end of class. Alcohol ink artists will learn techniques for blending and movement, creating vibrant, one-of-a-kind surfaces. Coasters made with collage will be sealed during class and may still be slightly tacky when you leave. Alcohol ink coasters require 24 hours of dry time before sealing, which can be done at home.
No experience needed, this workshop is all about experimenting, playing with materials, and creating something functional and unique.
COST PER PERSON $15
All class costs are added to the participant’s bar tab (no tax) and paid out in full to the artist instructor. Costs cover materials and instruction provided by the artist.
